Associations and Certification
La F.S.E.P. (Swiss Federation of Private Schools)
The Swiss Federation of Private Schools assembles numerous independent schools across the confederation. As a member of the FSEP, Notre Dame du Lac participates in an annual conference and in the dynamic that insues.
A.G.E.P (Genevois Association of Private Schools)
Genevois Association of Private Schools is a regrouping of 46 schools, a constellation of institutions offering a large diversity of programmes and pedagogical methods- a true educational forum and instrument for life long learning, a respected spokesperson within the genevois educational community. Today, close to 12,000 students and their families put their trust in the member schools of the AGEP.
L’A.P.E.N.D.L. (NDL’s own parent assocation)
NDL’s Parent Association was created during the 2007/2008 school year. The Association participates actively in the smooth running of a variety of events organised by the Institution. It is composed of a variety of different comities. It organises each year the school fair, diverse gatherings and markets and is highly invested in teacher initiated actions.
It also contributes to the funds allocated for the upkeep and installations throughout the school.
Notre Dame study grants are furnished by generous mecenes. It aims at allowing certain students with special needs the possibility to benefit from the educational richness dispensed at our Institution.
The QCS certification
Notre Dame du Lac Institution has obtained the QSC (Quality School Certificate – swiss quality certification) which answers all legal, federal and cantonal obligations concerning the quality development in professional schools.
G.R.T.A Geneva Region Future Earth
The quality label: product certification
Geneva Region – Terre Avenir is a guaranteed label created in 2004 by the State of Geneva – who is the discerning body. GRTA allows for the identification of agricultural products of the Geneva region. It identifies all agricultural products at each of the different steps of elaboration from the fields to our dinner plates.
CELA, Cambridge English Language Assessment
Cambridge English Language Assessment is an international standard, evaluating linguistic competencies. This evaluation grid is used throughout the world and comprises of many different levels.
The “brevet” of computer sciences and internet attests students’ level of mastery in multimedia tools and internet usage.
It is composed of three levels: elementary school, middle school (college) and secondary level (lycee).
