A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

Located in an exceptional and green setting, on the hillside of Cologny, the International Institute Notre-Dame du Lac has always aimed for academic excellence and the development of everyone. My dynamic and innovative team as well as myself are involved on a daily basis to prepare our students to be committed and responsible players in the world of today and tomorrow.

Open to all, of Catholic tradition, NDL, a non-profit association, has been welcoming, since 1946, families and children in an international culture. In this multicultural and family environment, the Institute develops a solid curriculum around modern languages, from the age of 3: English and German.

So that the education of our students is a real springboard for their future, we engage them each year in a school project on a social theme. This is how Notre-Dame du Lac was awarded the Eco-Schools label in 2019 thanks to the investment of our 330 students in this international program, which aims to raise their awareness of sustainable development.

In addition to basic learning, reading, expressing oneself, writing and counting, the educational team encourages its students to develop creativity, cooperation, communication and critical thinking, essential skills to become a citizen of the 21st century. Thus, these social and emotional abilities are valued throughout their schooling.

Finally, to complete this course, NDL offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities on a daily basis, including sport, art, music, languages and well-being.
